Your character’s goal is the only thing keeping them going. In the bleak, lifeless wastelands, there is no hope of living, but there is hope of going out with a clean conscience, knowing that you did all you could in your short time.
Whatever goal you choose, the days of your life will center around completing it. The GM will give you obstacle after obstacle, each time clearly stating how they interfere with your goals.
Writing your own goal is cool, or if you just want to grab and go, pick one from the list and get moving. These can also give you an idea of what goals a character in Hereafter might be motivated by.
